Calcitriol (1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol, or 1alpha,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3, 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D₃ and other variants) is a bioactive vitamin D. It is a steroid hormone that helps in mineralization of bone, regulate calcium and phosphorous in patients with bone diseases whose parathyroidglands (glands that control amount of calcium in blood) and kidneys are not working normally. Calcium Citrate helps in normal functions of your body. It works on proper bone formation and its maintenance.
